George Edward "Eddie" Abbott, age 86, of Forney, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. George was born on May 14, 1938 in Iola, Kansas to Robert Earl Abbott and Dorothy Maxine (Melton) Abbott.
A visitation for George will be held Monday, April 21, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Following the visitation will be a committal service at 2:00 PM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
The family will be hosting a Memorial/Celebration of Life for Eddie (George Edward Abbott) on May 10, 2025 from 11:00AM - 12:00PM at First Christian Church, 1608 Oregon Road, Iola, Kansas 66749. Following the memorial, family will provide lunch at 12:00 PM at the Church.
