James Patrick McDuffie, 67, a retired Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, passed away July 1, 2013. He was born June 2, 1946 in Los Angeles, California. James was a graduate of the Los Angeles Public Schools and attended Hill Junior College and University of Texas Arlington. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. James is preceded in death by his parents, George Martin McDuffie and Dorothy Violet Miles McDuffie. Survivors: Son: John Patrick McDuffie of Waxahchie, TX; 1 Brother; 1 Niece; 1 Nephew; Lifelong Friend: Steven K. Brewer; and a host of many other relatives and friends. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2013 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. Graveside Service: 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America or to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
