Jorge Arevalo, Sr.

Jorge Arevalo, Sr., age 62, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on May 12, 2021 He was born August 25, 1958 in Weslaco, Texas to Juan and Margarita Arevalo. As a young man, he worked at his father’s gas station in Donna, Texas. He graduated from Donna High School and then attended Pan Am College.

At the young age of 19, he met the love of his life, Alicia Rosales. Soon after, the two married and started a family having 4 children, 12 grandchildren and an extended family. Jorge was a good, hard working man, dedicated father and grandfather and good provider. He was full of love and never failed to leave a smile on your face. Jorge was an aircraft mechanic until retirement.

Happily married 42 years to Alicia, when the two agreed to their vows and the saying, “until death do us part,” that was the last promise he made sure to fulfill.

Jorge is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Margarita Arevalo, granddaughter Anessa Lisett Arevalo, son-in-law Victor Monreal and daughter-in-law Vanessa Thamez. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Rosales Arevalo; his children Angie Arevalo, Jorge Arevalo, Jr., Margarita Arevalo Machado (Anthony) and Melissa Montes (Luis); his siblings, Joe, Roy, Robert, Juana, Rosa and Lupita; his grandchildren Victor, Jorge III, Julissa, Anthony, Julian, Jaydan, Alicia, Zoie, Andrew, Grace and Josiah and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and many friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 am at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052. The service will be held at 1:00 pm with the Committal immediately following at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3301 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052.
