I had the privilege of teaching Joshua in Sunday school. He was grounded from his phone (I think he said for not doing chores) and so I loaned him mine so he could look up scripture. I noticed a while later, two new photos on my phone a selfie (attached), and one of his co-pilot David Cannon. Gave me such a giggle then and now. Shine on Joshua! 

I’ll always remember when we first met during lifeguard training and how you were joking around with the cpr dummy when we were supposed to be serious and you were being just absolutely hilarious the entire time! I’ll miss you so much my sweet boy!

and you were always being silly and making me laugh to tears!! I will forever miss your hilarious laugh! 

Josh's one of the most funny and cheerful guys I know. I remember at youth dances how he made sure to involve people younger and shyer, and how he'd just inexplicably bring a plastic spoon to sneak into a dance partner's hand to add a little mystery and fun game to the night. I hear some other boys brought spoons to dances too after Josh aged out. I hope they still do, and people remember how he brightened any room- whether a class or dance or meal- he was in with such a unique, only-him way. I'll miss him. I'm sure he'd have some way to twist that into funny, totally-Josh moment too. All my love and prayers with the family, as I'm sure Josh's are right now.

What a great guy!  I’m so sad for your loss and the loss that the world will feel now that he is gone. 

Joshua, you were so kind, funny, and brilliant. I have so many fun memories with you and will always hold them close in my heart. I will always remember how we met the first time, we immediately clicked.  working with you as a lifeguard was one of the best thing to happen to me, you gave me some of my most favorite memories in that point of my life. I will always be grateful for the times we had together. Rest in peace, I will always think of you and miss you. <3
