Phillip James Tabor was born on April 24, 1951 in Akron, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, James French Tabor and Oma Newsome Tabor. Phil left this earthly life on July 5, 2018 at the age of 67.
Phil was a long time resident of Arlington, Texas, graduating from Sam Houston High School in 1969. He later studied Aviation Mechanics at Tarrant County College. Phil was self-employed for most of his adult life. He was a car enthusiast and was fortunate to earn a living doing what he loved. Phil was well respected by his peers for his knowledge of the auto industry. In his younger days, he enjoyed building and racing cars, especially his Anglin.
Those who knew Phil well knew that he had a good heart, with a special fondness for animals. He rescued numerous strays and lost pets. His own dogs were always well loved and cared for, and especially close to his heart was his little Gyzmo.
Phil was a man who followed through on his promises, used integrity in his business dealings, and busied himself with numerous entrepreneurial projects.
Phil had a large family of close friends and neighbors. He was a "one-of-a-kind" man with an exceptionally unique sense of humor, who was loved and will be truly missed.
