

Robert grew up in Grand Prairie and attended Grand Prairie High School. He was a master plumber for most of his life and retired due to medical reasons in 2011. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting and walking around the stock yards in Ft. Worth. He was a happy go lucky man who was always joking and laughing.
While hanging out with a friend one evening he caught a glimpse of a beautiful woman named Debbie. He invited her to join him at his table. On August 13, 1989 he and Debbie were married. Robert was an easy going, generous loving husband, father, son and uncle. He was very laid back and was the first to help if he knew you need something.
Robert is an avid sport fan. He would cheer on his beloved Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR’s Jeff Gordon. He loved to listen to country music, and go see live bands. He played pool, owned some horses and took care of his yard and home. Other than his family his favorite thing was his pug, Hannah.
He is preceded in death by his father Gentry Cannon.
Survived by his wife Debbie Simpson Cannon; children Robert Dean Cannon Jr., Virginia Ann Torrez, Clayton Ford, Russell Simpson; grandchildren Brandy Simpson, Summer Simpson, Russell Simpson Jr., Lil Z Torrez, Frisco Torrez, Lucky Torrez, Heather Torrez, Cory Cannon, Callie Cannon; mother Ann Cannon; siblings Lawrence Cannon, Kenneth Cannon, Ronnie Cannon, Comedra Daniels, Connie King and numerous nieces and nephews.
