Imogene (Aunt Gene) was born on July 18, 1926 in Miller Grove, Texas to Jim and Cora Toles. She was a loving wife, skilled seamstress and excellent cook who loved spending time with family.
She is survived by grandchildren Mike Hester and wife Barbara, Kim Smith and husband Danny, James Parker and husband Mike; Great grandchildren Amanda Oller and husband Mathew, Michael Hester Jr. and wife Carly, Klarissa Casiano and husband Carlos, Julia Hester and fiancé Kyle; Great-great grandchildren August, Aubrey, Austyn and Anthony. She was preceded in death by husband Leonard, daughters Patsy and Beverly, parents Jim and Cora, brothers and sisters.
Imogene met Alvin Leonard Hall in Cumby, Texas and were married on June 5, 1943 in Greenville, Texas. They moved to Oak Cliff where she worked different jobs including at the Sears Warehouse distribution center in Dallas. After building a home in Grand Prairie she settled into a career as a drapery seamstress working for her brother Leroy. While raising two daughters, the couple attended several Baptist churches throughout their life. They were married just shy of 69 years when Leonard (Uncle Buddy) passed in 2012.
A visitation service will be held on Monday June 16 at 4:00-8:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home in the chapel. Burial will follow next day on June 17 at Cumby Cemetery 11:00 AM.
