Viviana My Thi Herrera passed away on December 14, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her most. Born on April 16, 1950, in Hai Phong, Vietnam, she came to the United States at just 19 years old and built a life rooted in strength, devotion, and sacrifice.
Viviana shared a long and devoted marriage with her husband, Eusebio Herrera. Together, they raised four daughters—Veronica Chmielewski, Lydia Herrera, Cynthia Moran, and Janice Lancaster—shaping their lives with her strong values, honesty, and care.
Her family grew to include fifteen grandchildren—Brandon, Jordan, Ashton, Victoria, Nicole, Monica, Hannah, Tanner, Emily, Camryn, Maddie, Savannah, Austin, Gavin, and Megan—and three great-granddaughters, Kendall, Jemma, and Weslie. Viviana’s presence and influence will continue to be felt in the generations that follow.
Viviana lived life on her own terms and enjoyed the things that brought her energy and joy. She was committed to fitness and could often be found working out at the Summit. She loved cooking traditional Vietnamese dishes and took pride in sharing the food and flavors of her heritage with her family.
She loved to travel and spent many happy days cruising, enjoying new places and beautiful views. Casinos were another favorite, where she could often be found at the slot machines well into the early hours of the morning. When she was home, she enjoyed watching her favorite YouTube videos and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Fun-loving and full of life, Viviana liked things her way and lived life on her own terms.
Viviana lived a life marked by strength, conviction, and care for the people and things that mattered most to her. She left a lasting impression on those who truly knew her, and her presence will continue to be remembered through shared stories, traditions, and memories. As we say goodbye to Viviana My Thi Herrera, we honor the woman she was and the life she lived—on her own terms and in her own way.
