Adele Abraham

Adele married her love, David Abraham, and the couple spent 57 wonderful years together. She worked for 28 years as the secretary for General Motors UAW Local 1231 and for the Kent County C10 council. She was a member of the Elks Club Lodge #48. Adele always made sure to put her family first. She loved to travel with her husband and children. Each summer they would go on conventions with the Travelers Protection Association. She enjoyed politics and loved to cook Lebanese food to share with her family. She was very social and loved to converse with people. He favorite part of the day was in the afternoon, having a beer with her husband. Adele will be greatly missed by her family. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and devotion, as well as teaching her family how to give and what you can do for others.

She was preceded in death by: husband, David Abraham; parents, Monsoor and Anna Alkasses; brother, John Alkasses; and sisters, Wedot Attala, Jannette (Jack) McIsaac, and Rosemary (Jim) Salik.

She is survived by: children, Randy (Romiana) Abraham, and Renee Larsen (Bob Larsen); grandchildren, Nicole Larsen (Julius), Rocky Larsen (Lindsey), Shane Larsen (Meghan Tolger), Amanda Abraham (Bobby Laboch), and Emily (Amanda) Abraham; great grandchildren, Braylen Larsen, Bryce Barcheski, Layla Larsen, Logan Laboch, and Brezlon Larsen; brother-in-law, Herb Attala, and Miller Abraham; sister-in-law, Nola Alkasses; and many nieces and nephews

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2275 Diamond Ave NE, Grand Rapids, at 11:00am. The family will welcome guests one hour prior to the start of mass. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Grand Rapids.

Memorial donations may be made to the West Catholic Tuition Assistant Program or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
