

After graduating from Merrill High School, Art went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from Michigan Tech.
He served in the Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged.
Art worked for many years in pharmaceutical sales. He then became a franchise owner of Sales Consultants and later added Management Recruiters.
Upon retirement he was able to spend more time doing what made him happy such as trout fishing and gardening. Most recently he enjoyed being an active member of Perkins Community Garden.
Art was a devoted husband and loving father and with the addition of his grandsons, “Grandpa” became his favorite title.
He was a man of great faith and an active member of St James Lutheran Church.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 67 years, Donna; his children: Kathy, Eric, Suzanne and Joanne; his grandsons: Trent and Aidan, and his sisters: Ernestine and Gretchen. He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth and sister Margarete.
A memorial service will be held on March 25, 2023 at 12:00 PM at St. James Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service.
