Bernard Francis “Bernie” Sanic, aged 71, of Comstock Park, died Friday, October 27, 2017 while in the comfort of his home and in the company of his wife. He was born in 1946, in Kalamazoo, MI, to the late Franjo and Anna Sanic. Along with his parents, Bernie was preceded in death by his brother Ernest. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Susan [McKibben] and their son Mark (Jerilyn) Treglia and granddaughter Autumn. Also surviving are God-daughters Anna Hamilton and Nikki Devru as well as sister-in-law Carol Sanic and niece Melanie and nephew Ron. Bernie proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a lifelong member of the VFW and American Legion. He will be remembered as a caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 @ 11:00am at Reyers North Valley Chapel, (2815 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, MI 49505).
