Chad (Chip) Kowalczyk, age 58, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 16, 1954 in Grand Rapids to Leon and Esther (Zarbock) Kowalczyk. Chip was preceded in death by his father Leon. Surviving and left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 34 years, Anita, and two daughters, Rachel and Stacey Kowalczyk; his mother, Esther Kowalczyk; brother Dennis (Marcia) Kowalczyk; sister, Kathleen (Gary) Gillstedt and many other extended family members and special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5th , 2012 at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave. N.E., Grand Rapids with Pastor Craig Bickel of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
