Clarence Willard Oldham, aged 87, passed away on May 18, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and William Oldham of Kent City, sisters Wilma (Mike) Gorby, Grace (Clair) Powney and wife Elverna (Metzger). He will be missed by his surviving wife Caroline, daughters Sharon Sue (Robert) Quick, Cynthia (Don) Yaw, Judy (Dennis) Schultz, Loretta (Richard) Young, Janice (Jack) O’Donnell, step-daughter Janice (William) Henkel, thirteen grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Clarence was a four year veteran of the United States Marine Corp, who proudly served his country during WWII. He worked thirty six years for the Grand Rapids Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing of all kinds.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Reyers North Valley Chapel with Pastor Robert Oliveira of Cowden Lake Christian Church officiating. You may greet his family for visitation on Tuesday evening, May 21, from 6-8 p.m. or on Wednesday morning, May 22, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Blythefield Memory Gardens.
Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Clarence to Hospice of Michigan with envelopes available at the funeral home.
