Dennis Gerard Ferris

On Monday, August 4, 2014, Army Veteran Dennis Gerard Ferris passed away surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was preceded in death by his sister Jackie Carl, brothers Don and Bob Ferris, and in-laws Jerry Krzykwa, Bill VanderBand, Lynn Ferris and Ray Brown. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marjorie Ferris; children Connie (Allen Hammett) Johnston, Jeff Ferris, Tammy Ferris, John (Kelly) Ferris, Amanda (Jesus Cisneros) Ferris; grandchildren Jenelle, Jack, Twins Troy and Travis, Keegan (Morgan), Anthony, Jordyn, Tate, and Jayda. Also surviving are 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Patricia Krzykwa and Sandra VanderBand; brother Gordon (Nadine) Ferris; sisters-in-law Marcella Ferris, Meredith Brown, Marilyn Cutrara, Lois (Barry) Bronkema, and Joanne (Tony) Luyk; brothers-in-law Cal Carl, David (Judy) Brown, Jerry Brown, Lenny Brown, Larry (Joyce) Brown, and Bob (Patty) Brown. Dennis was a very involved family man. He was an amazing father, grandfather and a bit of a jokester. Dennis was a long time employee of Plastic Plate Inc. and after retirement dedicated 15 years to Scott Lake Country Club. Dennis and Marjorie would avidly travel and play golf together. He also was a truly loyal Lions fan, regardless of their record. Dennis was active with the American Legion post 47.
