Diane worked as a registered nurse for Metro Health in the ICU. She cared deeply for her patients and enjoyed being able to help people get better. Diane also loved animals, especially dogs. She kept the birds in her backyard well fed with her birdfeeders. You could find Diane often sitting on her porch trying to spot her beloved cardinals. Diane also enjoyed being in nature. Diane loved to swim as a child, and continued as an adult.
As a member of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi, Diane was proud of her heritage. She enjoyed attending craft classes and other events put on by the tribe with her sister, Mari Jean.
Diane will be remembered best as a person who was willing to help anyone around her. She was able to make friends anywhere she went. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Diane is survived by her sons, Jeff, John, and Steve Cooper; siblings Mari Jean Williams, Bob DeGraff, and Jim DeGraff; and nieces Susie Wiseman and Christen Ferwerda. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sharon O’Hara.
Private services will be held.
