Doretta “Dee” Olsen nee Chorman - Age 69, ended this life’s journey February 22, 2014 and now begins her spiritual journey. Dee was born May 5, 1944 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Joseph and Mary Chorman. Dee attended St. Alphonsus and graduated from Catholic Central. She retired from Meijer Inc. Surviving are her husband David Olsen, daughter, Julie (Dirk) VanZee, son, David Tobin; grandchildren, Kyle (Brie), Joshua, Nathan, Taylor, Dylan, Jake; brother, Don Chorman; sisters, Theresa, Dina, Mary; many nieces and nephews and several friends. Dee is now joined together with her parents; brothers and sisters, Joe, Kenny, Frank, Jean and Carol. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Reyers North Valley Chapel with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Pastor Jay Schrimpf will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice.
