Ethel is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Robert.
She is survived by her children, Bill (Vickie) Johnston, grandchildren; Robert (Cynthia), Barbara, great grandkids; David and Wilson and her sisters, Norma and Agnes. Ethel is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
She lived a long, wonderful life and one of very few people that can say they lived through two pandemics. Ethel loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a master organizer, an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time on her property and winters in Florida. Her key to a long life was to be joyful, happy and loving.
A private graveside service will be taking place for the immediate family at Fairplains Cemetery in Grand Rapids and a Memorial Service for Ethel will be held at a later date.
