Gary Roger Shisler

Gary Roger Shisler, aged 75, passed away on January 3, 2014. He was born on April 5, 1938 in Alden, Michigan to Nelson and Wanda (Harrington) Shisler. He was preceded in death by his parents and his former spouse and lifetime best friend Peggy (nee Corner) Shisler. Surviving are children Mitchell (the late Kim) Shisler, Jodi Simpson, Lucinda (Russ) Scarbrough, Thomas (Denise) Remington, Teasia Shisler, and special friend Mandi Kilgore. Also surviving are sisters; Luane (the late Wendell) Free, Judy (David) Rosendall, Diane Boyd, grandchildren; Chad Shisler, Ian Caniff, Mitchell Caniff, Phillip Remington, Stephanie Remington, Russell Scarbrough, Mackenzie Scarbrough, Abigail Strader-Shisler as well as four great-grandchildren. Gary retired from Lacks Enterprises where he was employed since the 1960’s. He was a sports fanatic and he enjoyed music, NASCAR, was a Tigers fan and enjoyed everything Michigan, GO BLUE! He loved a good adventure, food, family, friends, fun, and will be remembered for his sense of humor. Please join his family for visitation from 1-2 pm followed by his funeral service at 2pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Reyers North Valley Chapel. Memorial contributions in memory of Gary may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
