John William Dykstra, 56 of Grand Rapids, passed away on Wednesday July 15, 2020. Survived by mother Esther Dykstra, siblings Deb(Richard)Sweeney, Charles (Terri) Dykstra, Barbara (Robert) Snyder of Pennsylvania, William Dykstra of Indiana, Timothy Dykstra, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by father Charles Dykstra. John was a very hard worker and a caring person. He took great pride in and loved Karate. John was an avid gardener and fisherman and he loved fishing with his uncles. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 20th, at 10 a.m. at Fairplains Cemetery, 2056 Diamond Ave NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505. Rev. H. DeLeeuw of First Netherland Reformed Church will officiate. Family requests no flowers be sent and donations made to the Plymouth Christian School.
