John Abraham Keuvelaar

John Abraham Keuvelaar went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 29, 2014. John was born in Grand Rapids Michigan on July 9, 1926 . He attended Davis Technical School Before joining the Armed Services. John served as a Paratrooper in the Army during WWII. John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia; their children, Ginger (George) Raterink, Denise Haney, Nancy (Jim) Schlaudt, John (Amy) Keuvelaar; their grandchildren, Leslie (Adrian) Chenaille, J.J. Raterink, Chad (Ashley) Haney, Brad (Anne) Haney, Bret (Jessica) Haney, David (Alicia) Schlaudt, Stacie (Brandon) Day, Mark (Aly) Schlaudt, John Keuvelaar, Caitlyn Keuvelaar and six great-grandchildren. John was a family oriented man, who had a special relationship with his grandchildren. He was also an avid fisher and golfer. He had a love for boating and restored cars. He will be greatly missed. The Family is holding a memorial visitation at 1:30pm at Second Congregational Church on Thursday, April 3, 2014 with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Second Congregational Church Outreach Trust Fund (525 Cheshire Dr. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505).
