John Joseph McGarry, age 52, passed away at home on May 8, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Maxine McGarry and his brother-in-law James Waldeck. Surviving are his sons Jason and Brandon, his best friend Michelle, his brothers and sisters Sue (Nick) Reens, Carol Waldeck, Beth (Neal) Sweet, Mike McGarry, Jim (LeeAnn) McGarry, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. John was born and raised on the northeast side of Grand Rapids. He graduated from Creston High School in 1978. John worked in many capacities within the pool industry for nearly 30 years, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening. A Memorial Service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel. You may greet his family for visitation from 1-2pm.
