 My favorite memory is when it was a very cold with lots of snow day. my friend and I were waiting for the bus on Fulton to go to Steketees Dept store . The bus never came and we were so cold. This sweet lady came out and took us into the Texas Cafe and brought us hot cocoa. It was Louisa and her husband Tony and it was their first day opening of their restraunt. That was back in the 70's. She and I remained friends for a very long time, but, lost in touch 30 years later. I am so sorry to hear that she has passed away. Prayers and love to her family. Miss her deeply.

Dear Rodriguez Family,
I want to send my deepest sympathy & condolences for the loss of your beautiful mother Louisa.  I have such wonderful fond memories from my time as a child growing up going to the Texas Cafe where many happy times were shared with all of you, to the Night Rider years when she would visit us on Gold Street to watch Novellas and laugh ! She was such a joyful loving Spirit and a Saint! Loving wife and mother at Tony's side at the restaurant , the most delicious food on earth ! Man, I miss those enchiladas and spinning records on the jukebox.  I know there is a connection with Louisa and my grandmother from Alice Texas, I hope they are hugging in heaven right now!
