
Mable Irene Courtright, passed away on February 27, 2014 on her 94th birthday. Mable was preceded in death by her parents Allen and Marion Williams, her husband Harry Courtright, and siblings Fannie Chipman, William “Bud” Williams, and Elzora Bell. Mable married her true love and life companion Harry, on September 18, 1938. Together they lived in the oil fields eventually purchasing and operating the Phoenix Restaurant in Edmore. During the war they moved to Lansing where they both worked in the tool room of R.E. Olds. Again they moved to Grand Rapids and started a family. Mable continued working as an attendant at Afendoulis until retirement. In her later years her true passion was Taco Bell. She would gather every day with friends, weather permitting, for food and good conversation. Surviving are her son James (Pam) Courtright of Grand Haven, Michigan; grandchildren Zack (Sarah) Courtright of Wenatchee, Washington, Jennifer (Erik) Cook of Niles, Michigan and eleven great-grandchildren. Please join her family for visitation from 12-1 pm on Tuesday, March 4 2014 followed by a memorial service celebrating her life at 1 pm with Pastor Bruce Wilson officiating.
