Nancy was the perfect example of a loving and devoted mother. She always made sure to put her family first. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she had a special relationship with each one. She would never miss an opportunity to attend a sporting or school event where she could cheer on her grandchildren. Nancy was strong in her faith and was a parishioner of Belmont Baptist Church for over 40 years. She enjoyed various activities, such as golfing, cooking (her favorite meal to make was chop suey), bowling, playing card games and crocheting. During her working years, Nancy worked for the Kent County Health Department traveling to different schools across the county testing vision and hearing of school children. After retirement, Nancy continued to serve her community by volunteering in various capacities, including crocheting hats for babies in the NICU, along with afghans and dishcloths for local missionary groups. Nancy was always on the go! She loved to travel and explore new places with her travel companion, Mary. She cherished her time spent with her daughter, Tammy, in South Carolina and the Florida Keys. She loved driving and seeing where the roads would take her, which resulted in over 300,000 miles on her little Toyota Camry (and that was only one of her cars!). Nancy was a social, loving, caring, and funny woman who will be missed by family and friends.
