Paul F. Chatel

Paul F. Chatel, aged 88 of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara, and his grandson Jon. Surviving are his children, Mike and Lucy Chatel, Chris and Peg Chatel, Dan and Debra Chatel, Brian and Nikki Chatel; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild. His beloved sister, Elaine Hellner, several nieces and nephews. Paul had been a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for many years. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass Of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 224 Carrier N.E. with Rev. Bernard Carlin, C.Ss.R. as Celebrant. Encryptment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Reyers North Valley Chapel where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Capital Campaign of St. Alphonsus, or to Catherine's Care. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caring staff at the Sanctuary of St. Mary's for their love and support they gave to Paul.
