Peggy Jean Hull entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025. She was born September 24th, 1926, in Grand Rapids, MI, and recently celebrated her 99th birthday with family and friends. She was the cherished daughter of the late Roland and Maxine Cooley, and beloved stepmother Alma Cooley. Her loving husband of 64 years, Bernard J. Hull, brothers, Roland (Fern) Cooley Jr. and Robert (Audrey) Cooley, and sister, Patricia (Morris) Wagner, preceded her to glory. Deeply devoted to her faith and family, Peggy’s legacy lives on in her children: Sandra (Jim) McClellan, Bruce (Nancy) Hull, Bryan (Marlene) Hull, and Sydnee (Jerry) Clore, as well as her 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Peggy’s vibrant spirit was often described as spunky and feisty by those who knew her best. In her younger years, she found joy in being part of a bowling league, leading a Girl Scout troop, teaching Sunday school, and singing with the Grand Rapids Symphonic Choir. Peggy’s heart for service shone through her volunteer work, especially her dedication to the “Never Give Up” stroke club and the United Brethren Women’s Missionary Association (WMA).
Peggy was an avid prayer warrior for her family. A faithful believer in Jesus Christ, Peggy and her beloved husband Bernie were steadfast supporters of church missions. Their journey together took them around the world twice, visiting missionaries in Australia, Africa, India, China, and South Korea.
Peggy often shared that her secret to a long, meaningful life was simple: following Jesus, enjoying Diet Coke, and indulging in Taco Bell. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
