Raymond R. Russell Jr., aged 88, passed away and was reunited with his beloved wife of 57years, Mary “Lil” Russell who passed away in 2008. Raymond was born in the fall of 1927 to Raymond Sr. and Winifred Russell in Grand Rapids, MI. Along with his parents and wife, Raymond is also preceded by his 2 sisters Judy and Betty. Raymond will be lovingly remembered by his 2 sons, Michael (Nancy) Russell and David Russell as well has his grandson Brian Russell. He proudly dedicated 32 years of service to the Grand Rapids Fire Dept. as an Equipment Operator until his retirement. Raymond proudly serviced his country with the United States Navy in both WWII and the Korean War. Raymond enjoyed his years at the lake and after retirement he enjoyed many years in Florida. Per Raymond’s wishes cremation has occurred and there will be no formal services.
