Robert Thomas Ross

Robert Thomas Ross, 86 of Ionia, passed away on July 21, 2012. He was born on January 12, 1926 in Gowen. Bob was a WWII Veteran who served his country in the United States Navy. Bob retired from the Michigan Reformatory. He loved spending time with his family. He also loved looking at classic cars, watching NASCAR, occasional trips to the casino and watching old western shows on tv. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his children: Jim (Lynn) Ross, Ernie (Marcia) Ross, Linda (Rick) Steele and daughter in law, Cathy Ross, grandchildren: Tim (Kim) Ross, Angie (David) Murray, Josh Ross, Melanie (Bill) Laffert, Aaron (Jessica) Steele, and Sarah (Justin) Hammond, 6 great grandchildren, Danny, Edith Ann and DJ Ross, Will and Ross Laffert and Owen Steele, loving companion, Lorraine Edwards, sister Pearl McLeod, brother Howard (Ruth) Ross and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dan Ross, daughter-in-law Lorraine Ross and granddaughter Melissa Walker and 1 brother and 3 sisters. In keeping with Bob's wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
