Shirley was born to Cecil M. and Viola E. White in Grand Rapids Michigan, on July 13, 1930. She has been recently preceded in death by her loving husband of 78 years, Ralph Andree. Also preceding Shirley are her siblings, Ken and Dawn. She is survived by her two younger sisters, Carole and Mary.
Shirley raised and is survived by her four children, René, Kathy (Bob), Eric (Gwen) and Heidi (Zak). She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Aaron, Erica, Chris, Nate, Brent, and Samuel.
In her professional life, Shirley was a dedicated employee of Sentry Insurance as a Personal Lines Underwriter for over 20 years. Her career with Sentry Insurance was a great source of pride for her and she dearly missed the people and company after retiring.
Shirley had many interests and had a creative mind and artistic flair. This shined through in her love of many activities such as interior decorating, gardening, fine needlework, sewing, crocheting, and knitting which were all lifelong hobbies. She even took up oil painting in 2008 and excelled at that as well. Shirley enjoyed using her sewing, knitting and crocheting talents to create quilts, hats and mittens, and other items, which she donated to many different charities.
A memorial service for Shirley will be held in the spring of 2026 at Reyer's North Valley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Faith Hospice Trillium Woods for their wonderful care of Shirley in her last days.
