He was born June 12, 1948 in the Bronx of New York. He is the son of Lawrence C Hollowell and Florence B (Merker) Hollowell. He was baptized into The Church of Latter Day Saints, on October 6,1973, in Ubon Thailand.
He served in the military in the 60's and 70's, in the Air Force. This was a matter of great pride for him. He became a Staff Sergeant. He attended AF Community College with emphasis on repairing simulators in the airplanes.
He received the Air Force Commendation Medal for his work in Thailand.
His permanent Air Force specialty was as a Flight Simulator Technician.
In his youth he enjoyed doing street magic for people.
He is survived by his wife Melody (VanPortfliet) Hollowell, 4 children-Tonya, Tim, Tom and Chris, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 2 step-children.
