McKellar, Thomas “Tom” Arthur, age 70 of Grand Rapids passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after a lengthy illness. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Lori (Jones) McKellar; parents, Art and Katie McKellar; brother, Scott McKellar; and nephew, Kyle Roberts.
He is survived by his partner, Deb Stanton; children, Tom Jr. and Rebecca “Becky” McKellar; grandchildren, Haley (Adam) Kendall, Skylar Eberspeaker, Ayden Stroude; and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Diane (Jim) Talbot, Michele (Chet) Roberts and Tami (John) Kitson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Tom loved fishing, golfing, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tom had a passion for making meat for family and friends for many years. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 459.
Cremation has taken place. Tom will be interred at Fairplains Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 27th at 2:00pm at the American Legion Post 459, 658 Michigan St. NE Grand Rapids, 49503
