Ward Jack Brandel

Ward Jack Brandel, 64, of Kentwood, died Saturday, morning November 27th, 2010 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. He was born March 17th, 1946 in Grand Rapids, MI and is the son of Willard Jack and the late Ruth (Hulst) Brandel. He enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling, cooking, and playing golf. He was retired from Steelcase. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jeanette (Robinson) Brandel; his father and step mother Willard Jack (Phyllis) Brandel; five children, Kenny, Kim, Kevin (Lori), Tim, and Ward (WJ)(Nicci); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister Nancy (Mike) Nauta; three sister-in-laws, Mary (Bob) Russell, Sharon (Jim) McGrail, and Loretta (John) Nowakowski; brother-in-law, Robert (Joyce) Robinson; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his mother Ruth, he was preceded in death by a daughter Kandra, and a nephew Brad. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 4th, 2010 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1213 52nd Street S.E. Kentwood, MI with Rev. Godfrey Onyekwere celebrant. Visitation will be held Friday, December 3rd, 2010 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel with a Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Renucci Hospitality House at Spectrum Hospital Butterworth Campus with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
