May I express my complete sorrow to Cindy's family/friends for their loss.  My memories go back to the high school days.  I remember as a shy underclassman trying to find my way, Cindy provided a hand of friendship, a smile when I most needed it, words of encouragement and laughter!  Oh! How I remember her radiant smile! In looking at the photographs it appears she continued with that radiance throughout her life!  I know that Cindy left a lasting impression on everyone she met... for I am one of those.  God's blessings to all that shared in her love and enthusiasm for life.  My condolences....

I have known Cindy since junior high school in Grandview.  We were in band together and were good friends. We both graduated in the class of '67 from Grandview High School. Over the years we didn't keep in touch, but I have fond memories of our friendship. My prayers go out to her family.

I will miss you, Cindy. Happy Mother's Day to a wonderful stepmom! Thank you for all the conversations we had over the phone while I lived so far away. You always gave me encouragment and support when I found it hard to belive in things and myself.  I love you!!!

I am so sorry to hear about Cindy's passing.   We both worked at Gill Studios and retired at the same time.  She was a very nice lady, and I will miss her.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My association with Cindy goes back 19 years.  She started out as my secretary back in the days when that term was not considered belittling.  It quickly became apparent to me, though that she was much more than that and not many days went by before I began thinking of her as my assistant, my right hand.  But soon, even those titles seemed inappropriate.  That was about the time I started thinking of her as my friend. 
As friends, we shared laughs, sometimes accompanied by Applebees Premium margaritas.  We exchanged philosophies, rationed out family escapades and divvied up ideas from time to time on the attributes of the perfect man.  We together claimed the pride in our children's accomplishments and congratulated each other upon becoming grandmothers.
Our time together taught me a lot about Cindy.  I learned that she was fun loving and exuberant…a bit of a risk taker, brave and daring.  A little wild and crazy.  She was also well read, opinionated and possessed an intelligence that made me envious.  She was a motivator and a true leader.  Like the time she suggested we start up a lending library at work, then promptly put me in charge of it.  She recruited me into the Red Hatters Club, even though I wasn't age appropriate at the time, although that was rectified soon enough.  She even encouraged me in my amateur attempts at writing the next best seller.  
It wasn't always good times, though.  Thru the years we knew each other, Cindy was there to remind me that “This too shall pass” each time my rebellious daughter did something to try my patience or tore another piece out of my heart.  Cindy was there to give me a hug when I got the phone call that my father had just suffered a heart attack.  She was there to offer strength and words of encouragement during the months my son recovered from a severe head injury, never once allowing me to give up hope. 
Cindy was a selfless friend.  A woman who loved big.  A woman with a strong sense of moral responsibility who made room in her heart for those in need.  I am truly lucky that she made room for me in her life.  I will always cherish our friendship and the memoires we made together.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.
