Mary L. Russell of Kansas City, Mo., passed away May 1, 2013, at St. Joseph Medical Center. Mary was born Dec. 24, 1948, and lived most of her life in Kansas City area. Mary retired from Gill Studio. She was the Queen Mum of the Kansas City Sizzlin Red Hatters. Mary is survived by her husband of 30 years, Howard Russell, Kansas City, son, Dan Murray, Overland Park, Kan., three daughters, Dawn Howe, Independence, Mo., Rebecca Carrico, Leavenworth, Kan., Kelsey McCormick, KCMO and grandchildren, Kodi, Jake, Bailey, Mason, Brodie, Harlee and Delaney. Visitation 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, with memorial service at 11 a.m. at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview, Rd., Grandview, Mo.
