Hazel Marie Stultz

Hazel Marie Stultz, daughter of Addison and Jennie Young, was born October, 1921 and entered into eternal rest August 13, 2016 at the age of 94 in the home where she was born. Hazel served her country stateside as a Rosie-the-Riveter while her love and future husband Charles served in WWII. She was a devout Christian. Hazel loved, honored and treasured her family and close friends, always making sure they were all well fed!

She was preceded in death by her brothers Alfred and Ralph Young, husband Charles A. Stultz, daughter Janan (Stultz) Downing, and son George A. Stultz. Hazel is survived by many dear cousins; two nephews Frank and Ralph Young; son-in-law Tom Downing; three grandchildren Susan Shelley-McDonald, Jill Downing-Haas and Eric Downing; four great-grandchildren Seth and Sarah Gelencher, Alyssa and Adelynn Downing-Haas.

Hazel was a strong, determined and dedicated woman throughout her life and will be missed greatly by all those whose lives she touched. A Memorial Visitation will be 2-4 pm Friday, September 2 at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Rd. Grandview, MO. 64030 (816-966-0250) Inurnment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
