Karen, so sorry and saddened to hear of Sherman passing. I was thinking about you guys the other day and came across Shermans obituary today. He was a great teacher and friend. I have so many memories from going to kansas city symphony, recitals, violin lessons, and so many more. Prayers for you and your family.

Sherman was a first rate teacher and friend.  I was the tuba player in the Central High band.  I was older than most of his students,and he was more of a friend than most teachers, and that was always appreciated by me. RIP Mr Foster.

Karen, we were so saddened to learn the news of Sherm's passing. Our hearts and love are with you. What a wonderful gift he gave to Lauren teaching violin. He was so kind and encouraging with her and she has precious memories of her violin lessons with Mr. Sherm. Not only was his love for violin and his kindness to his students apparent but I'm reminded of his kindness to others, such as Phillipe', and how he was there for him by coming to soccer games and band events at school and such. A wonderful person will be missed! Know we will be praying for you and your family.

My memories of Sherman go back to his wonderful contributions to the programs of worship and fellowship at First Baptist Church, K.C., Mo. His violin and his smile did much to bringing us the Spirit of Christ to our services. My love and prayers go out to Karen who has shown her love through the long and very difficult days of his struggle against death. At last, we know that he is at rest with the Lord he loved and served as long as he could.
