Steffany Ann Blackburn, 48, of Grandview, MO passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Born October 11, 1971, she was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area. Steffany was a 1990 graduate of Grandview High School. For the past 26 years she was married to the love of her life Brian, and together they raised 4 wonderful and very active children. Family was everything to Steffany and there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them. She wore many hats over the years…sports mom, girl scout mom, chauffeur, cook, band mom, military mom as well as wife, mother, daughter, friend and employee. She had worked at Kenny’s Tile in Grandview for 28 years until her death. She had been “Employee of the Year”, her children’s “Super Mom”, Brian’s “Wife of the Year” for 26 years, as well as “Friend” to many.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brian Blackburn of the home. Her children, Joshua (Ashley) Blackburn, Savage, MN, Megan Blackburn, Liberty, MO, Rachel Blackburn, Tucson, AZ and Jacob Blackburn, Grandview, MO. Her parents Anna and Mick Mithelavage, Lee’s Summit, MO. Brian’s parents Earl and Dottie Monsour, Gilbert, AZ. Stepbrother Michael (Angel) Mithelavage, Surprise, AZ. Sisters-in-law Laurie (Bob) Anderson, Overland Park, KS, Christina (Accursio) Sabella, Gilbert, AZ. Nephews, Eric and Ryan Anderson, both of Overland Park, KS. Christopher, Carter, Daniel, Andrew, and Cameron and great-nephew Hunter, all residents of Gilbert, AZ. Christian Sabella, Billerica, MA. Ashton Mithelavage, Surprise, AZ. Niece, Maddie Mithelavage, Surprise, AZ. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Arthur (Lee) and Dorothy McElhinney and maternal aunt, Peggy McElhinney.
