Amir Naraghi, age 18, of Grandville, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, from injuries he sustained in a car accident near Lowell on Tuesday, June 19. He will be greatly missed. Amir was an optimist and always had a smile on his face. While he didn't take his studies very seriously at Grandville High School, Class of 2011, he made the Dean's list as a freshman at Western Michigan University this last year. He enjoyed spending time with his group of friends, watching TV, movies and playing video games. Amir was never in a hurry; his laid back and happy nature made him a joy to be around. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Andrew and Theresa (Martinez) Naraghi; his siblings, Michael, Sara and Navid Naraghi; his grandparents, Mrs. Effat Naraghi and Daniel and Vicenta Martinez; and his uncles, aunts, cousins and many good friends. Amir was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ghassem Naraghi. A time for relatives and friends to visit with Amir's family will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Sunday, July 1, at Cook Memorial Chapel in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (east building). Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, July 2, at Cook Memorial Chapel (east building). Pastor Tim Gilleo, from Resurrection Life Church, will be officiating. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Ministries. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guestbook online at www.cookfamilycares.com.
