Barbara Ann San Miguel

Barbara San Miguel, age 91 of Jenison, entered into the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 15, 2021. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest; their infant daughter; parents Henry and Margaret Plaggemeyer; sister, Ruth; and sister-in-law, Ruth Plaggemeyer. Barbara is lovingly remembered by her daughters Michele Rae (James) Weston and Tanya Renee (Stephen) Cole; and grandchildren Matthew James (Kristine) Weston, Marc David (Angela) Weston, Nathan Stephen Cole, Molly Margaret Cole, and Nolan San Miguel (Kristin) Cole. She is loved and cherished by her great-grandchildren Bradey James Weston, Jordan San Miguel Weston, Nicholas David Weston, Jillian Marie Weston, Jorge Ricardo Cole, Stephanie Alejandra Cole, Roman Oliver Cole, Ren Graecy Cole, and Leah James Cole. Also surviving are her brothers Henry (Judy) Plaggemeyer, Charles (Donna) Plaggemeyer, and James Plaggemeyer.

Barbara was a passionate prayer warrior for her family and friends. Barbara was always telling others about Jesus whenever she had the chance. The family was blessed to have had her as part of the Sunset Retirement Community where they treated her with love and dignity to the very end. Faith Hospice was also such a blessing in how they helped her girls with the end of life days.

For many years, she and Ernie were members at Wealthy Street Baptist Church, and in later years attended Georgetown Bible Church. Due to the current health crisis, a private family service will be held with Pastor Glenn Wilson at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Walking by Faith of Res Life Church, Georgetown Bible Church, or Sunset Legacy Foundation.
