Calvin L.D. Burton

BURTON Calvin L.D. Burton, age 83, of Gowen, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Laura Burton. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Gerry (Irwin) Burton; children, Larry Burton and Sue (Tom) Kishman; grandchildren, Matt (Kate) Burton, Jill (Steve) Bly, Michael (Cheryl) Kishman, Jenny (Dustin) Becker, and Brian (Ellie) Kishman; 12 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Pat (Bruce) Mogg. Calvin enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing, golfing, gardening and hunting.

The funeral service will be held 11 am Friday at the Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville (East Building) with Rev. Herb Vander Bilt officiating. Interment will be at Spencer Mills Cemetery. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville (West Building).
