Carolyn Sue Van Van Dam

Carolyn Sue Van Dam, age 75, passed away, Friday, February 7, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman James Van Dam; her siblings, Dallas McDuffee, Irv McDuffee, Dorothy Hoyle, Harris McDuffee, Jr.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by her children, Randy Van Dam, Rick (Carole) Van Dam, Cherie Sterk; her grandchildren, Jay Van Dam, Jacob Van Dam, Tyler Sterk, Trevor Sterk; her great granddaughter, MaKenzie; and her siblings, Irma Singleton and Betty (Fritz) Berkenpas. Carol's family would like to thank Cindy and the Faith Hospice staff for their compassionate care.

Carol loved sitting in the sun on the beach. She drove all the back roads around home and her cottage. Carol also enjoyed her rides in the golf cart, campfires and sitting on the swing at her cottage.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, February 11, at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 - 84th St. SW, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 12 PM. Interment will be at Hanley Cemetery. In honor of Carol, contributions may be made to Faith Hospice - Trillium Woods.
