Casimir (Casey) Andrew Mieczkowski, aged 72 of Wyoming, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home and joined his Lord and Savior January 17, 2025. He was born July 9, 1952 in Erie, Pennsylvania. Casey was the son of the late Casimir and Arlene Mieczkowski of Spring Lake, Michigan, where he grew up.
Casey served in the United States Navy, where he learned electronics and computer engineering. Casey continued to use that knowledge to become a successful self-employed computer programmer. Casey was known for his unwavering work ethic, and creating lifelong relationships with his clients. These connections left a lasting imprint on Casey and his family.
Casey was a devoted member of his church, and enjoyed serving others. He enjoyed spending time in the garage, tinkering and working on many projects; nothing was too big or too small to take on. This included woodworking, metal working, and fixing up cars.
Casey's memory is honored by his loving wife of 14 years, Janet; daughters Laura Windmeyer and Leslie (Tyler) Williams; stepchildren Mark (Bre) Luster, Nicole (Dan) Wieck, and Chad Luster. Casey also leaves behind his brother, Mike (Marianne) Mieczkowski; sisters Ruth (Barb) Gravelyn and Robin (Steve) Sluis. Preceding Casey in death was his daughters’ mother, Nancy Wallish; sister, Sally Mieczkowski; and brother, Jim Mieczkowski.
A man of dedication and kindness, he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones and friends.
A celebration of Casey’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Casey’s honor may be made to Faith Hospice or Calvary Church. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their online guestbook.
