She was preceded in death by her husband Cornelius; and great granddaughters, Angelia and Andrea Pittman.

She is survived by her children, Hank Pearl Grooters, Sue Ron Heys, Lorraine Gary Zinger, and Marv Laurie Grooters; grandchildren, Steve Grooters, Sheryl Pittman, Diane Young, Tim and Tom Heys, Lisa Fritsma, Jeff Zinger, Stacey, Mark and Bryan Grooters; 9 great grandchildren; sister and brothers, Lena Nelson, George Audrey Ritsema, Garret Eleanor Ritsema; sisters-in-law Minnie Ritsema, Eva Ritsema, Lucy Ritsema, Evelyn Heim, and Dorothy Grooters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Reformed Church of Byron Center, with Pastor Bruce R. Kuiper officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center 2067 84th St..
