Daniel VanderLaan, age 58, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Don and Marge VanderLaan. He is survived by his wife, Paulette VanderLaan; children Justine Wescott (Tony), Daniel (Emily), Vincent VanderLaan, and Jacob VanderLaan; five grandchildren Brittany, Carson, Madison, Sophia, Jason; siblings Michael (Linda) VanderLaan, Stephen (Pat) VanderLaan, Susan (Bob) Post, Robert (Katie) VanderLaan, and Jenny VanderLaan; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dan loved life. He loved his friends, and always had time for everyone. He was an awesome Heavy Duty Master Mechanic, and loved handyman projects. He loved hunting with his sons, hanging with his friends, and riding his Harley. But most of all Daniel was a family man wanting to spend his free time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His last words were, "I love you all." He will truly be missed by many.
