David Lawrence Goebel

GOEBEL a?" David Lawrence Goebel, age 41, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord and Savior very unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Aaron Goebel. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dena (Rohroback) Goebel; daughters, Madelyn and Molly; parents, Ed and Carol Goebel; siblings, Paul (Nancy) Goebel, Mari Goebel, and Deb Goebel; in-laws, Christine (Ross) Rotman and Melanie (Chad) Lee; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Dave was passionate about his family, friends, neighbors and his community. He was on the board of several local chambers, a member of the Jenison Public Education Foundation, volunteered at his children's schools and outreach ministries for community work at church. Dave enjoyed playing with his girls, biking, kayaking, vacations up north and golf. He had a servant heart. He was always looking at ways to help others whether at work or helping a neighbor. The funeral service will be held 11 am Monday at the Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, (East Building) with Pastor Doug McClintic officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Jenison Public Education Foundation or Dave Goebel memorial fund on behalf of his children at Macatawa Bank.
