Declan James Norton

Declan James Norton, age 4, entered into the loving arms of Jesus Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Declan was a happy young man whose smile and joy could light up a room. He had a very outgoing and joyous personality; he just loved everyone, and greeted all with a “Hi, how are ya?!” If they didn’t respond, it was followed by, “Are ya good?” He loved singing, Mr. Potato Head, the snack drawer, and riding his bike. He also loved zooming around in his Power Wheels Jeep. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the joy to know him.

Declan will be remembered by his mom and dad, Josh and Jenna Norton; siblings Hayden, Connor, Chloe, Grayson; paternal grandparents Louie and Shelley Norton; maternal grandparents Joel and Carrie Waidelich; great-grandparents Eon Brown, Barbara and Neil DeRidder, Vern and Sherry Van de Vooren; pet chicken, Chicka; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of Declan’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2024 at ResLife Church (Rez Center), 5100 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
