Donald L. Dewent

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bertha DeWent.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years, Patricia Waring; his children, Cheryl Thomas Zwagerman, Douglas Deborah DeWent, Timothy Dawn DeWent, Kimberly Calvin Matz and Kristi Scott Huyser; his 11 grandchildren; his sisters, Norma Clarence Ter Avest, and Verna Robert Van Oss; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Don was owner and president of DeWent Gravel Company.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 8, from the Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church, with Rev. John Joldersma and Rev. Marvin Van Someren officiating.

Interment will be at the Georgetown Cemetery.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church-Mission Fund.
