Dorothy "Ruth" Lass

LASS - Dorothy "Ruth" Lass aged 99 years, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 2, 2014. A longtime resident of Wyoming, Michigan, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Peter Lass; parents Alta and Jim Oldfield, Frank and Idena Parr; sisters Hilda (Peter) Mendels, June (Harold) Venema; special friend Paul Bruining and many brothers and sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Steve) Bluemel, Ann (Gene) Tobin; grandchildren William (Donna) Griffin III, Shawnda (Michael) Dykstra Sr. Angela (Matthew) Kuncaitis Sr, Gene (Jennifer) Tobin, Jeremy (Rebecca) Tobin; great-grandchildren William Jr. (Heather), Andrea (friend Tyler), Benjamin, Michael Jr., Abagale (Nick), Anna, Matthew Jr, Penny, Peter, Favour, Chloe, Olivia, Alaina, Molly, Terry, Gabriella, Grace; great great-grandson Josiah.

Ruth resided in Wyoming for 63 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, GG, great-great grandmother and friend. Ruth was employed at WT Grant and Diesel Corporation. After her retirement, she was a volunteer at World Mission Thrift Store.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church - 5333 Clyde Park, Wyoming, Michigan 49519, at 11AM on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Reverend James Croom will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10AM.The family would like to thank Ruth's wonderful loving caregivers at Maplewood of Sandy Creek in Wayland, Michigan.
