Esther "Estie" Doornbos

DOORNBOS Mrs. Esther "Estie" Doornbos, age 88, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Monday March 4, 2013 and to again meet with her son, John and her husband, Herman. Estie was born to Henry and Jennie (DeZwaan) Roelofs on September 8, 1924. She was preceded by a wonderful son, John in 1972 and her loving husband, Herman Doornbos in 1995; sisters and brothers, Henrietta Meengs, Edith Marks, Joan TerVree, Fred, Bern, Jacob, Clarence, and Gilbert Roelofs.

Surviving are her daughter, Judy (Roy) De Jonge; special grandchildren, Sue De Jonge, and Scott (Sheryl) De Jonge; brother and sisters, Stanley Roelofs, Leona DeVries, and Julia Plooster; and brother-in-law Gerald Doornbos. Esther had a very special couple that she totally enjoyed being with, Bill and Kathy Graham; and special nieces and nephews, and great friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 AM at the Cook Funeral Home, Jenison Chapel, 1889 Baldwin, Jenison, with Pastor Bud Pratt officiating. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet her family Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Jenison Chapel and Saturday from 10 AM until the time of her service.
