Florence Elaine Wittingen, age 93 of Jenison, went to her heavenly home Friday, November 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Marjorie (Brinks) Veeneman; siblings Henry, Guy, Doris, Mel, Jerry, Millie, Mary Ann, and Evie. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Kenneth Wittingen; five children Larry (Marla) Wittingen, Jim Wittingen, Cal Wittingen, Dave Wittingen, Jodi (Tim) VanBragt; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law John (Harriet) Wittingen, Andrew Machiela; sister-in-law, Betty Lubbers; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 3-4 p.m. prior to service. Reverend Steven Postma officiating. In honor of Florence, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as this charity always touched Florence’s heart.
