

Garcia – Francisco Irizarry Garcia, age 79, of Wyoming, MI, on the Sabbath (Saturday) February 13, 2016, God said it was his time to sleep. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emiliano Garcia and Fanny Irizarry, his brother, Emilio Garcia; two sisters, Ines Maria Garcia and Felicita Garcia. He was born April 2, 1936 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, the fourth of eleven children.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Benny (Amos) Garcia, his son, Frank (Linda) Garcia Jr.; his five step-children, Larna (Jim) Hubert, Alecia Wilson, Chris Chevis, Dorothy Morris and Jennifer Garcia; his six brothers, Abraham (Gloria), Samuel, Eliud, Daniel (Idalys), Uriel (Carmen), Israel (Emma) Garcia; one sister, Nicy (Edgar) Vega; along with an abundance of grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Frank was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had a love for singing music in quartets and playing his guitar. He retired from Smith Industries after 28 years of service. He accepted the Lord and he was a member of Bethel Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Frank will be truly loved and missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Rogers Heights Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3025 Michael Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, February 18 from 4 to 8 PM at the Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI and one hour prior to services.
